$3.39 gas in Franklin, NH

September 2, 2008

That’s as good as it gets as the summer gives way to school schedules and shorter days. After Gustav, it’s a surprise that the oil price per barrel is dropping today. Wall St. speculation lessening, and the dampening world economy surely play some role. But an upcoming presidential election must also be factored in. I wonder what the pundits are saying. Will we get back below the $3 mark before November?

I invite trouble by saying that I haven’t been so unhappy with the high gas prices. How else could we have brought so much focus onto the energy situation in general. And I in my “low impact” lifestyle am less affected anyway, with my typical consumption being about one fill up a month, not counting road trips.
