Emerald Green Frog

September 23, 2009

My new garden friend, I hope! (click on image for clear version)

sept09 048aHe’s as big as my hand too! hope he likes slugs.

Two paintings from Champlain School site were still at the pretty horrible stage as dark was approaching, so the frog appearance was a relief. Beautiful he was! The color, other-worldly. Maybe another one of the photos shows the color better.

Stocking up on Art Supplies

September 17, 2009

Michaels 50% off coupons coming in very very handy. Feel like a squirrel gathering nuts for the winter. Not hoarding, just restocking. I’ve burned through a lot of paint the last few weeks. And, hope to do a bit of painting with my sisters this weekend in Maine

Here’s another iteration of Rockpoint painting from my garden looking up

ART HOP FRIDAY EVE!

September 11, 2009

ART HOP FRIDAY EVE! I’ve finessed a spot on Flynn Ave, diagonally across from the Flynndog. I’ll be sharing Pete Smith’s shop area out in front. He’ll have plenty of his wire mesh creations on hand, and I’ll rustle up as many… paintings as I can find, unfinished works if need be, like this one

Unfinished acrylic, detail.  Come to the ART HOP Friday eve,  and see how it’s progressed.

Only Friday eve, 5-8 or 9 pm. COME ON BY!

Making blackberry pancakes seems to be the best way to store blackberries; both in me, and in the freezer. aug09 104a
